Re: HELP??? Active sync with Windows 7
imagio works fine here on two win7 pcs.
takes a minute or two to download software the first time. you might want to plug the usb cord directly into the PC also. also in the phone settings you might have set it for "external drive" accidentally. check on that. |

Re: HELP??? Active sync with Windows 7
Go to Start > Control Panel > System, and click on Advanced System Settings. Go to the Hardware tab, and under Device Installation Settings, make sure it's set to automatically download the latest driver software and icons.
Also, if that doesn't work, try plugging it into the back USB ports of your computer if you aren't. Mine doesn't work on the front ports for some reason, only the rear ones. |

Re: HELP??? Active sync with Windows 7
The way I always got it to work...
Connect phone and computer... Run Windows Update... It should then install Mobile Device Center...then on to the drivers... |

gcianc may be on the right track - in settings, tap All Settings > Connections > USB to PC and select ActiveSync. Leave the check box unchecked to verify that it works. It may take a few minutes while WMDC downloads the drivers from Microsoft Update, but it should connect. |

Re: HELP??? Active sync with Windows 7
Mine works most of the time but occasionally like to disconnect itself or not connect at all. I usually leave the device connected and soft reset it and it recognizes it.

Re: HELP??? Active sync with Windows 7
Worked like a charm for me on 2 different machines running Windows 7. Check your cables. I know that connector on the Imagio seems a little finicky and that even though the driver appears to have loaded, and when you connect you'll see the screen on the phone ask about active synch or storage device, the PC will still not see it.

Re: HELP??? Active sync with Windows 7
Just don't install Office 2010 64-bit beta. WMDC is not compatible with 64-bit Outlook yet. Of course this isn't a big deal with Activesync working direct with Exchange, but still annoying.
