are you using vista or 7? I had to use 1.42 on xp as I got that error on vista and 7 with this phone.

Yeah, I'm on running Win7 64-bit...that's probably the culprit.

I hope Win7 64-bit won't give me any trouble flashing once the HSPL is certified...

If you are on Windows 7 or Vista, use PSAS or QMAT. Demo will work fine.

Once you have that application, Go to Windows Device Center, and go into Connection Settings, and uncheck the Enable USB Connection

Load up PSAS or QMAT, and then go to "Hardware Forensics" and then "Use Mobile Ports"

You will then get a group of options, Go to "Modem Port (Async)" Once you are there, with device plugged into PC, and USB Connection is NOT check in WMDC, Click on "Start USB (Vista)" This should start it up. Once it does start, you can type in Info 8, on the little text box there, and Pres Enter,

If this worked right it should give you an output of text in the large white area below that.

If you guys can't run mtty its fine. Cmonex just wants to double and triple check all her "i's & t's" are dotted and crossed. Basically a check if the internal flash memory was made by different vendors (small possibility for different device batches.)

Vista or 7 will not matter when running the HSPL program, right now for testing we need to do this, and we need to run mtty programs to find this infomation out. MTTY is an older program, that was not wrote to run on Vista or 7, so that is where the issue comes up at. But the HSPL package will work fine on these OS
