New Text notification time?

Wanted to know if their is a way to change the amount of time the number on the text-message tab that represents how many new messages you have disappears after seeing the message. Currently it is set so that once you view the message it takes about 3 sec to go away. I want it set to about 1 sec.

I would also like to see this...I cant stand waiting that long for the message to go away expecially when its a short phrase that you can read in a second.

I have searched everywhere and can not find anything ...i even went into the registry and tried looking, but i'm now sure what its under or what to change. There has to be something.
