I would be glad to throw in a few bucks to be able to run Android on the Imagio.

Everyone on this whole damn forum would donate $ to get Android running on our phones. However, I highly doubt it will ever happen, and if it does, it will just be so full of bugs it wont even be worth it. I mean, we cant even get our POS phone to work properly with even custom ROMS running its native OS.

I hate to be the opposition in the group, but I'd rather spend my money on a phone with android already on it.

At least for me...I already bought this phone, I'm not eligible for an upgrade for quite some time, and I'm not planning on donating the cost of a new phone towards the project. So, If I can throw a few bucks at this and get Android running on it

The same is here for me. I dont have an upgrade until 2011 and am not going to spend 500+ for a new phone. I am however finished with Windows Mobile. Ive had about 4 Windows Mobile phones over the years with headache after headache.

Those are both very good points. I stand corrected. That is why I buy phones without contracts. I found that I can usually get enough for the old phone on ebay to cover the difference in price. I'm switching to a tp2 next week. I'll easily get $300 or more for this imagio on ebay. full retail for the tp2 online is $489. difference of $189. 2 yr contract price for a tp2 is $199. I am only estimating here, but i'm pretty close.

Granted I had to spend $600 for the first one, 4 years ago.

everyone will donate, thats a given. lets hear less about how people would donate and more about the progress...or lack thereof i subscribe to this thread and i keep getting notified about it.....and its just a bunch of people saying they would donate.
