Hi Snack, i have been reading a lot about this and the Lexikon's ROM won't work for the imagio, know i am figuring out how to try the Eris kernel but i have not implemented it yet. Are you using cdma or gsm radio?

Is the "Lexikon" rom an .NBH file? Or is it a system.tgz or system.img?

Hey Luc@x... thx for the advise. I'm using cdma radio. And if you give one direction (On where to start?) I can help with the kernel implementation.

It would be amazing if android runs on our device.

Hi!... I've never downloaded the rom... But I guess it's both, .nbh and .img
Sorry... If I'm wrong

Re: Whitestone Android It Booted!!!

Lexikon ROM is an Android ROM packed up into an RUU.exe, it contains all the img files, but there's nothing to look at, i think we need to follow the Geitnowonmarketing (drellidee) steps and try out the RHODIUM 500 old kernel.

I have been wondering if it booted on GSM or CDMA because i have not been able to boot (it freezes up on booting)

Today i started to cross compile a kernel image but there was some errors and the process didn't finish... I'll be trying something else this week

Try out this one and post please:

Ok, let me see if I can help you out a bit...

If it's an RUU install, the file will uncompress the .NBH, I uploaded a utility to extract the files off of the .NBH check them out to see if they are .bin or .tgz or some other format that can be put back together once you replace the files needed by the Imagio..

Im working on other stuff at the moment and can't be of much help, but I will try to help as much as possible.

It booted (i guess) !!

It booted !! (i guess)

It shows the Haret screen and after 15 seconds it boots to android but the screen isn't well recognized (blank), i know it's Android because of after 1 minut "working" it enters in power saving mode (turns of the lcd) and it returns when i push the send button (turns up the lcd)

I used a experimental kernel for the topaz that loads only 89Mb of RAM, i guess that's the clue, yoy can find that zImage at:

zImage: xda-developers

Thread: [Solved] Android not booting on latest Topa100's - Page 11 - xda-developers

My default.txt settings are:
Code:

set MTYPE 2293
set KERNEL zImage
set ramsize 0x6000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set initrd initrd.gz
pwf dm.txt 0x8e0000 0x20000
set cmdline "msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78 msmvkeyb_toggle=off lcd.density=240"
boot

Also there's some files generated by android on my MicroSD card

Code:

FSCK0000.REC
cache (directory)
data (directory)
data.img

FSCK0000.REC is a log file (File System ChecK) of the boot process and there's some information like 'dmesg' command from linux, i think this is a important step and we can use that information to build a real custom kernel for the Imagio

Please look at the logfile by yourselves:

http://www.4shared.com/file/MZZny38T/FSCK0000.html

Now i wonder, what's so special in this kernel?, is just the memory usage?, is it a little "generic"?

:-)

Re: Whitestone Android It Booted!!!

Try to use a data.img already created to see if that helps. You can probably find a few floating around...

Here is an app to resize the data.img if you find it too small...
