Re: Calendar snooze
I'm sorry. You know what you doing. I didn't realize you were that far ahead. Sorry for treating you like a total noob.
HD walls go here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...uestion&page=4 Post #36 (if it doesn't directly send you there) I use "SBP backup"....Most say this one is the best. but i think their all good( i hate the $30 thing also..didn't get one until a month ao because of it) Same thing at my work. I'm gonna get fired if i don't stop playing with my phone all day there is a top curtain fix out there. But i don't remember where

And no disrespect- but i would suggest the registry edit over the Topaz cab. I followed the instructions on this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...6&postcount=37 ...(thank you deechet and libove) post #37 and it worked great and then you don't have to install that large topaz cab. Also, you can get the fancy menu back if you want. I found this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540922 ...(thanks francarl) I would read the whole thread. but this did work for me and i have an Imagio. I followed the instructions from post #103 http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...540922&page=11 Thanks Raykisi. I did steps 1-5 (not step 6 bc i am not Chinese). I used the cabs on post #103 for steps 1-4, but i used the "francarl.HTCMenuLoader-BootLauncher.v1.2.rc1.cab" from post #1 for step 5 That sounds like a big mess- but it is probably easier than I made it look. I am a total newb- so if i could do this anyone can. Hope it helps get you your fancy menus back. |
This post has been thanked 1 times. |

Re: Calendar snooze
Don't ever worry about "disrespect" with me. You are the MAN!!!!!!!!!! I found my solution and was happy with it (good enough). But you just changed everything.
thanks a million....... Dude your crazy. How did u figure all that out. do you have a screen shot of what the new menu looks like. It's a lot of work and would be nice to see what I'm getting.(especially the calender reminder) If not than no problem(you've done enough) Last edited by wedgemoose; 01-13-2010 at 04:50 PM. |

Re: Calendar snooze
ok- the fancy menus work 90% of the time. for some reason I do not get "fancy" menus 100%. for instance- for me the first item I use with a menu will be old school and then from then on (2nd 3rd 4th time etc) I get fancy menus. Also, with the registry edit for the snooze option, i get old school notifications say for the text message- but i get the fancy menu for the snooze options. Just did the registry edit this morning, so I am still seeing what happens to all my menus.
I will try and get a screen capture and post it in a few minutes. I have the program for screen capture (CapSure_PPC) but have not installed it and have never used it. So it may take more than a minute. |

Re: Calendar snooze
I did read on that post "the first time it will come up with old menu". Maybe your good. Have you restarted and have the old one come up again? maybe you just got the one time old menu and your all set. You don't have to answer this. im saying the questions rectorically.....Don't kill yourself on the pic's. Figure out your phone first. I meant if you had them readily available. you've done enough

I have tried to attach some screen shots. We'll see if i did it right. One is my normal home screen. one is the menu you see when you press the left soft key (notification). It is old school style. The other is what you see when you press the right soft key (menu). That is if i did it right. |

I will definitely get SBP backup... thank you for suggesting it. I've been out since my last post but I know what I'll be doing tonight... trying out all of maisonpulaski's suggestions. I have already noticed something with these modifications though. Sometimes, besides getting what you want, you find out much later that something else has changed. I installed the "DHarvey HTC Programs Tab Fix.cab" that someone else suggested for getting the "My Shortcuts" tab in the menu tab and it did that just fine. For some reason, it also made a change to my Start Menu. It appears to have been set to WM style instead of HTC (Touch Flo ?). I can live with that but it's frustrating that what appears to be an unrelated change can happen. Go figure. |

Re: Calendar snooze
Revamped, I have that same program and can't remeber if it's HTC style or not. it's been so long and I'm so used to it that I don't know what style it is. Whatever one I have is the one I like.
here are two pics of mine. Are yours this style???? |

Yep, that's exactly what I have now. I'd send a screen shot of the way it used to be but like you, I've moved on and never took pix of my phone in "stock mode". You live and learn here. I'm saving everything now that I install on the phone, into folders on my PC... complete with notes about what the programs did. I should have started sooner. I downloaded the SPB backup program and I'm going to install it now before I do anything else. |
