Permission Denied when flashing recovery

not sure if this is the place to ask but I rooted my hubby's phone and am trying to flash the recovery image. I'm getting "failed to copy 'recovery-RA-heroc-v1.2.3.img' to 'sdcard/recovery-RA-heroc-v1.2.3.img' : Permission Denied"

What is that??? I did this with my phone and it worked fine.
What am I doing wrong this time?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Permission Denied when flashing recovery

I have formatted the sdcard (fat32 right?) and I have rebooted the phone but I'll try rebooting again.
I haven't checked the debugging..let me check that.
You guys are FAST! Thank you!

Re: Permission Denied when flashing recovery

I have another problem now! I did that and got through the next few steps. rebooted with the vol down pressed and got the white screen. pressed home for recovery and got....
