Think about it for a minute. What most likely is happening is that when you insert the phone inside of the pouch that corner of the phone is used to guide the rest of the phone into the holster. Its possible you may not always get it in on the first try?

oh yea i know that its from rubbing along the sides... but it always goes in... its just that sometimes it catches on the side more... i had just purchased a new pouch holster a couple days ago..the inside is very different from my other one....so hopefully this wont rub off anymore paint...

im really liking the seidio combo case/holster..but its a bit pricey

Re: htc hero paint rubbing off

its this one...but you do NOT want it... its rubbing off the hero paint..thats why i had this thread opened up.. the inside is almost a suade type material..so it catches on the phone everytime i put it back inside the pouch...

Re: htc hero paint rubbing off

I am using my Mogul case as well and I have not had any problems with paint rubbing off. You could probably ebay one for next to nothing. The phone is a little loose in the case though...

Funny, I have that same case and laptop. Same thing that happened to my Hero but mines a bit more. No big deal though.
