Haha oh I gotcha. Are you still with fresh 5? I had to reset so I reverted back until a fix comes up, I do however like how good that rom is. It seemed a little snappier overall.

I left 5 and went back to 4 as he noticed a major flaw. I believe he's working on it strong now. My tether is working on 4 where 5 would fail I sent him the info on the flaws I found

Yea same here. 5 seemed a little snappier but I never tried tethering. Glad u did!

i had version .4 installed yesterday and my awake time as of right now is 14%, saw some people still having issues so I hard reset installed .4 installed my previous apps from marketplace and voila works like a charm. Fresh fixed all the errors in .5 beta and i'm installing his newest stable release after it gets done downloading.

No you don't. You can just root. I suggest a rom update because it makes the phone run better overall. I suggest NOT using A2SD2 (apps 2 sd 2) by the way, it is a hassle and only has created problems for people using it that I have seen. I didn't like it when I was running it. It is a great app, but it doesn't work as well as apps on sd card on winmo.

If you intall Modaco rom, apps2sd is flawless. Also, you get to keep your apps after a hard reset. I love it.

You also lose your apps if you change the SD card or it breaks. Not a big deal for most of us, but that ext2 partition is one extra thing that needs to be backed up that a lot of people seem to skip.

I just spoke with an HTC Tech support (who I find to be far more advanced than any Sprint Tech support person) and he told me that as of right now, Sprint should be automatically pushing through the firmware 1.6 update. He said there is no reason for us to go into the device and update it ourselves. Any thoughts?

Idk about that but it isn't 1.6 it is a maintenance release for 1.5.

I almost got a bit excited until i finished reading it. LOl I love when sprint says advanced Tech support. I remember on the Winmo We would have to help walk them through it.Blackberry is even worse
