Yep, it's out.. Im not installing it until I know what will happen to a rooted phone that installs it...

Firmware update is 3748377 bytes takes about 2-4 minutes to download depending coverage area. Update is version 1.56.651.2, and you will not be able to make or receive calls during installation and it'll reset and you'll see it an box with arrow to phone icon.. rooted does not update

It maybe cause I took of LearnMore.apk from the phone someone else can try, phone works after testing.. even if rooted phone works You will need to go back to stock rom, then do it.. download update. Once completed just root it back |

mine didnt update.i removed a sh!t load of stuff, hope a certain apk isnt needed.

after update my weather isnt working it doesnt show up, and the phone seems to be laggy. Also now my awake time says 100%. Going to turn off the phone and see if that makes a difference.

So its an update but nothing is fixed? Hope there's something useful in there for the chefs! Checked it with the fresh rom and the update was not available.

I wonder where the OTA update downloads to and when it fails will it delete the temp files? If not maybe someone can grab off the Hero this way.

i just called my buddy and his hero had issues my hero had with laggy and weather not finding our city, we live in lancaster PA, it said lancaster CA so you can see the problems that caused. lol hes not rooted but says the update fixed all his issues he had plus made some things work even better. he hardreset after update did its hardreset, hope this helps you guys.

guys over at xda with rooted phones are doing a nandroid backup, then running the stock RUU, then doing the firmware update. they haven't reported back yet, but it sounds like it'd work out fine. i'm hoping it does at least!

Aww cmon... we gotta have a changelog, whats the point of the update if we dont know whats new or fixed? Texts? Sms battery drain? Toss me a bone here...

So i did a hard reset after the update...sent a few texts...got a few back...rebooted and im back to 100%
