Re: Just About To Upgrade To Two Heros But...
Gary you have made some very valid points in all. Depending on how often you travel you could get the Hero and enjoy all the benefits locally and keep a spare phone you can swap over to for international travel. You can do that right online in 5 mins. That would be my suggestion unless your willing to wait for an international unit

Re: Just About To Upgrade To Two Heros But...
Huh? If the country you are traveling to is GSM (which most are), Sprint phones that are CDMA only won't work. I thought Google Talk was an IM client that uses data. Does the Google Talk client on the Hero support VOIP? And if so can you only use it to talk to other Google Talk users or can you "connect" to landlines???

Re: Just About To Upgrade To Two Heros But...
You could probably talk to Sprint and get a loaner phone for GSM networks while traveling, would be my bet.

It'll either be a Blackberry or TouchPro2 loaner phone. |

Thank for the trade idea but I don't know how swapping phone number and all would work even if that were possible.

Re: Just About To Upgrade To Two Heros But...
ITs a simple process. you both could do it via internet once you confirm the ESN is clean. or even the classic route and go through customer service..I know what Gary's thinking . hes like I dont know this guy lol

Re: Just About To Upgrade To Two Heros But...
Yeah I've had a few offers (on here and craigslist) but I'm sort of iffy about it. I'd MUCH rather do it local.
How would customer service act as a 3rd party? (sorry for the thread hijack) |
