Txt feature i cant find.

ok, for a short period of time, the last Handcent version i had, when i got a text message, the black box would show up on the lower screen with what the text said, no matter what program i was in, even on the home screen if i was in nothing, even in the middle of texting a new txt message it would show up. ( if you dont know what i am talking about, its the same little box that shows up when you save a new word in the dictionary, add a contact, etc)
i have no idea how to get this back. does anyone know how?

check to see in your notifications of handcent there is a section marked Privacy Mode make sure that is unchecked.That should show the box in teh lower half when you receive a text

it is currently unchecked, and i do not get the box.....

one thing i did was send the main sms program to open in handcent as well

The program was desktop sms. I hated that box so I deleted it. But it puts that box on there 4 u.

one otehr question do you also have auto-retrieve checked as well

Gotcha. I only get it with desktop sms. I'll check around handcent a little.
