Also, Google provides software that allows you to move all of the mail in your PST file to Gmail (or better yet, Google Applications).
I have tried this option. It failed because I have 2 GB of mail and it times out. I have looked into the sync software from google and I have to upgrade to a paid service at Google.

i prefer using outlook for all my mail accounts. im sure im not the only one.
I agree with this. I have my email here and Outlook is the best email program out there. I have tried them all and as much as I hate to say it, this is one of the few things Microsoft has correct. If they would fix Thunderbird to the outlook area I would go back.

PS have you tired it change email from TB to Outlook. Not fun....

This is my issue. I have 150 contacts. When I add one in my Outlook I need it to update to the phone.

Gmail is great with Cal Sync and mail sync. Dont understand why not include Contact Sync. the only thing lacking for such a great system they have.

Thank you for your responses.

Re: New Sync Version 2.0.8

I sync mail, 200+ contacts (with pictures!), and calendar to Gmail (I actually use Google Applications) without a problem. I was also using the same stuff when I had a WinMo phone, and also without a problem. I'm not sure why some people are having issues with contact photos... maybe it's your version of Outlook? You should be able to sync your Outlook contacts and calendar up to Gmail using Exchange protocols.

I successfully dumped a LOT of old mail into Gmail, but I also don't keep old e-mails with large attachments.

I have a lot of attachments. I have figured that was my issue for the mail.

What Applications? I have done a lot of research and the one I have run into will not let me use it unless I pay to upgrade my google services. This is there Google Exchange. Will you please provide a link to the software on google you are using to help us out?
