Your either lucky or oblivious, use Gtalk via the web interface to message yourself 1-25 and see wich numbers you dont get

I was joking around with that guy. I have had SMS problems since I got on Sprint.

I hav'nt had issues with sms on this or any phone from sprint....I just hate that I can't get animated pic messages....really pisses me off actually

Did this and got 25/25 Guess I'm one of the lucky few that doesn't see what the problem is. But then again, I also didn't even get a chance to use the stock roms, I had the Hero hooked up to the computer for rooting and flashing as soon as it came out of the box.

I need to convince my friends and family that SMS isn't the way to go when sending important information. No mater what phone I have, almost any method is more reliable. Including email, telegrams, faxs, smoke signals and carrier pigeons. Not to mention it sucks finding out I'm an uncle via a txt I never got, ultimately making me look douchey.
