i rooted my phone this way and was getting the exclamation screen. i ended up using recovery-backup.img instead of just recovery.img and it worked. i'm pretty sure thats the only thing i did differently.

The Recovery.img on the video was the file renamed. You can name it to what ever you want. I am glad you are all set with the rooting. The Hero becomes a major weapon now.lol

Thanks for everyone's help. I had to move the recovery-backup file to desktop and rename the recovery-heroc file to recovery-backup and then replace the old recovery-backup file(on the phone) with the one I just renamed to that and go back into the flash rec program and do a restore.

im having a problem if anyone can help me in rooting my fone.. when it comes to the step in the video of "apply sdcard: choose zip" i click on it and then all my fone says is install at bottom but then goes straight back to menu of reboot and all.. it doesnt seem to install anything or ask to confirm after i click on apply sdcard.. any help is greatly appreciated
