video subtitles

I was wondering if anyone knows if meridian or the stock video player will show subtitles as well that are in srt format?

UPDATE: Well I decided to test it myself and see. Meridian will play srt files with the movie!! That is great news for those of us that are using the hero for our mp4 player as well.
