Flash it in fastboot. That method is pretty much fool proof.

This is for the evi, but the fastboot instructions are the same for every android device. Put the recovery image of the tools folder of the sdk and follow the instructions labeled "fastboot"

still cant flash the image it says failed and stops im gonna use the ruu again and see if it fixes it

Nonononononono not necessary. You probably need to clear the recovery image you already have installed. Sow load rom manager from the market and use the delete current recovery image. Your giving yourself a lot of extra headaches.

im at the mount -o remount part and it tells me mount: operation not permitted.. What could be the issue???
