Rooting

Alrighty, folks. Here's my request. I keep seeing links to other tuts and such for rooting this guy, but i enjoy consolidation. Can we get a clear, concise thread that posts detailed step by step instructions on rooting methods and tools? I would really appreciate it.

I'll probably try it, but not tonight. How long did the process take? Do google contacts automatically re sync to the phone? What about apps, pictures, etc?

When you root and flash all your data will still be there!! I was amazed myself being a flashaholic with my WM phones in the past.

The flashing itself goes really quick compared to WM, I rooted one night and then flashed the next.. but that was because I like to read up good before I dive into something new.

Just read the instructions and take your time.. its not hard at all just different if your used to WM phones.

Are you sure asroot2 is in this directory?
