Widgets!!

Does having widgets on your phone at all time drain the battery?

Message widget, Mail widget, Music Player widget.....

the ones that might affect performance a bit would be the ones that are constantly fetching data to update regularly (even though i have three of those and no problems whatsoever) like weather twitter, stocks etc. the ones you mentioned should have no issues with...

I think they all do, cuz they run in the background, but like mike20pr said those that are constantly fetching data are gonna drain the batt a lil faster.

I'm only using only 3 screen in the widget section and i have seen better battery so far but i'm still testing cuz only in the 3rd day with my HERO!

I also using handcent instead of the built in messanging app that i known to affect battery...

I took the widgets off I am not using as well. The battery issue seems to be in many different formats. The touch Pro had a horrible batter life until the synch killer stopped teh data from constantly running in the background. I belive ones teh Hero is rooted alot of fixes will come into play

I have done the handcent and turned off all the items I was told to and my battery still dies before lunch everyday. And I dont make 3 calls and max 20 text before I recharge it. usually says 16-20% awake I dont get it.
