Wifi

So i'm not sure exactly if i'm connected or not, how do you tell? When I turn it on I see some networks and I had addded mine at home. It says "Obtaining IP adress", then at some point it just says "Disconnected" under the "Wifi" checkbox. My network says that "It's not in range" sometimes even though i'm sitting like 5 ft away from the router. Does it tell you when you're connected?

Re: Wifi

I don't think I have it on, I use to but turned it off cuz my desktop wasn't working when I had it on. I thought it was something with the router but come to find out I had the wrong IP address for the desktop. But I hadn't turned it back on unless my boy did who was helping me trouble shoot. Gonna check that tonight.

Gonna also check the key as well but pretty sure I entered that correctly as well. Should it also work if i'm not broadcasting my SSID? Or should I turn it on?

Ok, that's what I thought, maybe my friend turned the Mac filtering back on when he saw that I had the wrong mac address for my desktop and fixed it. I'll check when I get home.

Thanks.

Yup, just logged into my router remotely and he had turned the Mac filtering back on and my phone was not setup in the filter. I added it so it should work now when I get home.

Thanks again.
