real diffrence between hero and moment?

the more i think about it the more i think Samsung wants people to mod the phone. all the other brands try to pack as much into a phone as possible. it seems sammy is saying here it is make it yours. i could be wrong. but with a Linux base, anyone with the brain power is going to have fun. ill just sit back with usb in hand waiting on the download.

I heard the touchscreen isn't all that responsive on the Moment. Whether this is a software or hardware issue is unkown.

its 1.5 (confirmed) i setup the demo model in our store...from what i have read it will be upgraded to 2.0 skipping 1.6 and it should be released pretty fast since(end of 09 beginning of 10)

1. verizon is doing a lot of the testing since the droid is 2.0
2. since the moment is a "google experience" phone there is no custom UI to make compatible with like sense UI or moto blur

maybe maybe not...

to do anything really heavy you have to root the phone and since there are only 2 cdma android phones out it could take awhile for the hacking community to get to it and customize...i hope its quick though...

i would love to run a custom android 2.0 rom on my moment (when i get it)

After returning my Hero back to Sprint to get the Best Buy deal on it . I encountered the new arrived Samsung Moment. The reps weren't even aware of its presence and found one. New little about it. After looking at the phone checking out the specks. the Hero seemed to have the advantage. SO I stayed with the Hero not to mention the price was great

i just drove 30 min to best buy to test them out and found tmobile instead of sprint in the store. im pissed theres a tmobile shop right up the block, and sprint was there 2-3 weeks ago, and the mobile joint in the mall told me " it just came out, like yesterday, we dont have it and the hero only avail in corporate stores". i hate kids.

OH The moment has arrived. It's fully rooted and everyone is installing custom roms on it right ? Completely customizable with tethering... Ha jokes

I'm missing voice command that works with bluetooth for handsfree. Looks like the moment has it. The hero version is terrible.
