As far as the email, the TP is much better IMO. I have 4 email accts. I like to be able to just glance down and see all 4 accts and which ones have new mail. I don't like having to pull the status bar down and clicking on each mail box individually.
Is it really THAT big of a deal that it would make you move to a device that is inferior in every other way? Wait for an update. I'm 95% sure i read that this will be fixed in the next update.

Re: I Really Like this Phone BUT....

sorry, but email is a big issue for me..I use it a lot during the day...I'm still giving it time to see if I get used to it, but at the moment, I'm not happy with the email.

Re: I Really Like this Phone BUT....

One thing you could do for the email issue is leverage the multiple home panels. I believe that when you add the mail widget to the panel you select the account for it to monitor. You could add one for each account. Also, it names it based on the account. I have not figured out how to change the name yet though.

I don't know if that would work for you or not.

Hey if you're interested in trading your 'pos' hero for a diamond please let me know. I have one jealous gf who'd love to upgrade from the diamond to hero as I did. Again, you should not suffer from that crappy hero phone. Just send it to me! =D

When choosing a widget, do Shortcut>Mail Inbox>Select Account

I have 4 email addresses as well with 4 mailboxes across the bottom of my screen

If you choose Shortcut>Program>Mail or HTC widget>Mail it will just give you one mail box or one account, respectively

Re: I Really Like this Phone BUT....

I have 7 email account shortcuts on one page as mentioned, allows me to check one account at a time.

Additionally, I downloaded K-9 email app. It combines all 7 email accounts (pop3) on one page and will query them ALL with one touch. Coming from a brief experience with the TP2 and my old Vogue (HTC Touch), K-9 closely emulates Winmo email.

Wow 7 accounts...

Once I got invited to Gmail, I pretty much merged away from my yahoo, hotmail, aol etc.

My Hero manages my Gmail & Corporate Mail Inbox. My Yahoo exsists only becuase its tied to my flickr account & I think my Hotmail is tied to Technet.

Gmail is an amazing service. If I could forward my yahoo to gmail I would never check another inbox.
