Re: Question about SenseUI.....
huh?
Sense UI is indeed an overlay of the standard google OS. It extends functionality but doesn't really replace the core principles of it like TouchFlo did. As far as their apps, I believe they would work on a generic Android OS as well. I don't see any Sense UI tie-in's in the individual apps... Sense UI I believe is just a glorified task launching interface |

Re: Question about SenseUI.....
Yeah, Next time you add a widget you can see that you can choose between HTC widgets and Android ones. The HTC selection of apps is more extensive, but you still have all the stock Android ones, they haven't been replaced afaik...

Re: Question about SenseUI.....
I know the widgets are obvious cuz no hacking is needed for that, but i really mean all the standard apps meaning music, dialer, sms, contacts, web, album, etc. IMO HTC took advantage of android being 100% open source and redid those to make them better
Htc sense is the whole deal rather than just widgets |

Re: Question about SenseUI.....
yeah, you can use all of htc's programs instead of the google ones. or you can use both.
the contacts is the htc contact card with people centric communication. the weather is htc weather you get htc mail the web is pretty much google, but you get htc's bookmarks page footprints, messges, photo album, its pretty much everything you will see on like the diamond 2, but with sense instead of touchflo. well thats what i noticed. |

Re: Question about SenseUI.....
HTC didn't modify or replace any apps at all. They just added some of their own.
