how to lock the phone

Ok just picked up the Android today, still trying to learn it some. I figured out how to lock the phone but where do you set the time limit for the phone to automatically lock? Normally its 1 min 2 min 5 min ect but I havent been able to find anything.

the screen automatically locks when the screen goes off. so just change how long the screen stays on...from the home screen menu/settings/Sounds & Display/screen timeout. I think this is what you are asking for.

Or you can get an app called autolock. Has a timer for u.
