How Can I.......?

I'm a newb and I've been using WM for my last 3 phones so now with the Hero......

1. Can I download my songs to the phone?
2. Can I export my favorite section of IE to the phone?
3. Can I use the Sirus application on the Hero? If so, how can I download it.

1. Can I download my songs to the phone? Yep, just connect to your PC via USB and you'll be prompted to "Mount" in order to copy files to and from your PC/phone. You'll then see it as a removable drive on your PC. Just dump your music into the "Music" folder.
2. Can I export my favorite section of IE to the phone? I don't think so unless there is an app for it. Checking the folders on the SD card I don't see any book marks, so most likely it's saved on the phones internal memory. This might be able to be done once the phone is rooted.
3. Can I use the Sirus application on the Hero? If so, how can I download it.

There might be a Sirus app, check the market but I like free so Pandora doese me fine.

Thanks. That was a quick response and I set up the music. I want Sirus because I want to listen to howard stern.

for downloading music you have three great options IMO

1. you can do it from the web (download Astro File Manager, it has an option to allow the browser to download ANY file regardless if its supported or not)

2. Use Amazon's MP3 store thats built in

3. (my favorite) download iMusic from Market, its an awesome app that lets you basically search ANY song so you can listen to it or DOWNLOAD it!!! love it

+1 on iMusic, just that feature alone sells the crap out of this phone but combine iMusic with Shazam, and nothing can compare.

As far as Sirius, i havent seen an app out. Nothing in the Android Market or SlideMe

You can put your songs on your microSD card. Plug in the USB cable and slide down the notification bar and mount your SD card, it will show up as a drive on your computer. Put all your songs in the Music folder and now you listen to them using the built in music player and also don't forget to unmount the SD before you unplug your cable.
