Mail not refreshing

Does using an app killer (I don't currently have the mail app set as excluded) keep your mail from refreshing? Figured that was more of a background app than an app that actually needed to be on the whole time. I'm not getting regulalry scheduled refreshes for my inboxes.

Mail app will have to be on to refresh I think. Like ppl found w the sms problem, I would stay away from app killers and stick w a task manager.

Yes.

Using Advanced task killer kills my regular email if I "kill all tasks". Once I go back into the mail though and manually "update", it starts back up again (on whatever interval you have selected).

yeah I used advanced task killer. didn't see email in the list of apps to add to exclude... I'll look again. what's a good task manager instead of killer?
