Do you read the manuals?

I was just wondering how many of you actually read any of the info that came with the Hero. It seems that quite a few of the problems I'm seeing can easily be fixed by just reading the material that came with it. Surely I can't be the only one to read it???

Sadly enough, I read the things cover-to-cover. Mostly because I'm new to Android and it is quite overwhelming coming over from WM. I picked the phone up on Wednesday night, and I'm still not done screwing around with it (tweaks and personalizations) not to mention figuring out all the notifications (before it was just text and missed call....now it's Gmail, Email, Missed Call, Voicemail, Text messages, Tweets, Facebook messages....WOW!).

So, yea, long story short, I actually read the entire things before even messing with the phone.

Read the manual? I am living vicariously through it! My birthday is next month and I made the mistake of saying to my wife that this is what I wanted for a gift (thinking Yay early present...nope, gotta wait.) So all I do is read about it. I figure I will have it setup and customized in record time.

Re: Do you read the manuals?

Always do. Sometimes skim if it's a familiar thing but if you don't look how do you know there isn't something there you're unfamiliar with?

hahaha, that's what I thought too because I read the manual online when it first appeared. Have fun with that

When they say "the phone you can make 100% you" they ain't kidding. I'm still goofing around with it trying to get it figured out.....but it is interesting and fun so I'm not complaining.

I know what you mean. This is my first experience with Android and I'm coming from WM as well. There is a lot to get used to and to figure out where all the settings are and what kinds of adjustments you can make. I got mine 3 days ago and I'm still finding things I didn't know where there before, or I just forgot about them.

Re: Do you read the manuals?

The thing I STILL cannot get over, is that this wonderful device includes something as AWESOME as Visual Voicemail, and not a mention of it in the manual. You'd think that a feature like that is one that Sprint would want to make sure they screamed from a mountaintop that it was included.

Haha, good point, I will be changing the phone every few minutes I'm sure. But at least I will make sure I have the essentials setup quickly..... and then changed again and again. (I can't wait to install Locale and then have the phone go through an ADD phase with me!!)
