Home network

Anyone tried to connect wirelessly to their home network for file sharing with the Hero? I found two programs in the marketplace but can not get either of them to work. On Air is one and Estrongs File Explorer is the other. There is also a program called AFile lite but I have yet to get that downloaded.

I want to be able to transfer mp3s from my network drive to the SD card whenever the mood hits me as I could do with my Mogul.

Any help wold be greatly appreciated!

By the way, running Vista Home Premium.

Thanks

Re: Home network

Hey there. It looks like I have the same setup as you, Vista Home Premium, Hero (obviously), and EStrongs File Explorer. I was able to get it to work just fine. In EStrong I just went to the Remote tab, added new server, and put in "smb://computername" I didn't put a particular share or drive (ie, smb://name/folder) just the computer name. Make sure you put in the username and password of an admin on the Vista Box. Speaking of which, you want to make sure that the user account in Vista is password protected. If you don't have to login to your computer with a password, then it isn't password protected.

If you still can't get it to work please post what you are doing or what sort of errors you are getting. Good luck!
