Re: Phone over heating and battery life dropped

Well considering the program was running all day and night and my phone never got really hot just warm I'm impressed, I'm remember my touch pro with a similar program flthe phone would get burning hot and the battery would die in like twenty mins lol

Really says something about the hero

Re: Phone over heating and battery life dropped

[QUOTE=thacounty;1378934]I forgot about this, WiFi Tether eats batteries! Chargers can't keep up with it! It is still an amazing app, but it does overheat phone. I had battery at 129.5F at one time haha.[/QUOTE
I normally take the back battery cover keep it plugged in the wall and sit it on a cool surface. I have stone floors and it will run for hours without getting to warm to slow the charging. IF the batter gets too hot it wont charge properly. Its a safety mech in there

Re: Battery Life: Just how bad?

I get about 8 hours now. Before the MR it was 6

Ever since I got Obelisk+Modaco 1.2c I've been getting a consistent 8 hours until the battery warning message.

I use this thing all day, no "light use" mumbo jumbo..

I'm running:

Many Widgets, all 7 screens
Updates are under 5 Minutes for TwiDroid, Babbler, etc.
Gmail app pushing
Standard HTC Mail App (Every 15min)
No Task Killer
All GPS functions active
Brightness is at max, auto dim is off

Yeah, the battery on the Hero is just wonderful. Best battery life I've ever had.
