Edit contact, at the top right is a chain. Break the chain with a tap and pull the pic down with the arrow beside it. Choose none.

When i pull down the arrow i see

Select Contact photo.. Gives me options to select from albums, camera, and remove photo...

Didn't you not want a contact photo? Chose no photo.

No i was wondering why my caller id pictures were blurry when making a call and when receiving a call.

I remeber before i upgraded my hero to 2.1 that i had to go to my Google account to uncheck sync contacts and my contacts picture wouldn't be blurry anymore. But with 2.1 i don't see that option.

Thats a lot of steps!

I remember doing this with version 1.5.

Anyone with a hero who updated to 2.1 through sprints update have these options on their phone?

Another method if you don't care about syncing contacts with Google or use another program.

Settings
Accounts & Sync
Gmail
uncheck sync contacts

Just tried it and it works. Thanks to OP for figuring out what the heck was doing that!

I only have

Settings
Account & sync

but dont see gmail options.
