Please only post ur question in one thread. I don't know of anything with bigger keys, but auto correction is pretty good. You can do 3 things.

1. Calibrate keyboard.

2. Use compact qwerty or phone keypad.

3. Get shapewriter or swype as its a different setup kind of.

Speaking of keyboards, i have noticed the occasional slightest lag when typing. As you become more proficient with the onscreen keyboard and start typing faster, it becomes more noticeable. I have the cure to this, just turn off both "vibrate when typing" and "sound feedback", and your input will pretty much match your typing pace.

okay, when i did a wipe everything worked... Now i did a nandroid restore because i need to find the easiest way to backup my contacts.. What app or program should i use for that? and i guess ill have to write all of my apps down when doing a wipe also, or is there a way around that?

Nandroid restore will bring everything back...

Titanium backup is good for apps and even keeps them in the store for you. Contacts will come up when you sign into google.

Apps should show up for download when you sign into market with your Google info.

If your phone starts running slow you can fix it pretty quickly. Idemolished stopped running for me and this made it work!

Power down.

Boot into recovery

Do a nandroid Backup

Back out, and perform a wipe.

Now Nandroid Restore

Reboot.

Done.

Can someone post the link to the Radio for the sprint hero... I was testing a couple radios and lost my original sprint radio... LOL.. The one I have now works for the phone but not the network... Thanks for the help... I will also click the thanks icon...

Hey ThaCounty,

I could really a little of your know how. I've looked through every page on this thread, and I've poked around with some Google Phrases trying to find a solution, and I just can't find one. I rooted my phone last night, got the 1.6.2 recovery image on it. It is up and running, but I am having an issue with the Nandroid backup.

I reboot into the Android system recovery menu and go into Backup/Restore, then I select Nand backup and it says:

Performing backup : ..

Error : Run 'nandroid-mobile.sh' via adb!


That's it. I can't figure out what in the world I need to do to get this running. I want to mess around and Flash some things, but I don't want to move on without a Nandroid Backup. Hope you can help me. Thank you!

Is your battery dead? That is usually why you get that error. Power down. Fully charge. Try again. If it don't work, reboot and try again. Let me know.

Tried out what you said. I powered down the phone, plugged it in and charged to full. Turned it on, tried a Nandroid backup and got the same result. I rebooted, tried again and nada. Just keeps popping up with the same consistant error. Can't figure out what to do for the life of me.

Got it figured out ThaCounty. I ended up formatting the SDCard, putting nandroid back on there and working it again. Got the backup taken care of, so looks like I am on my way. Thanks for the assistance man.

What? What is wrong with you man? Calm down.

No, if you are wirelessly tethering you won't be charging it. It must be plugged in to charge. It will probably get too hot to charge at some point if you don't put it somewhere to cool it off.

I add the HANDCENT application and now my phone rings 2x when I receive a message. Once for handcent and once for the factory messaging program. How can I stop this madness??? THANKS!

Hey guys could anyone help me out with blurry pics for my caller id contact pics?

After i updated my hero to 2.1 i dont see the setting to uncheck my contacts from my google account, like i use to when i was running 1.5.

any help would be great :)

Edit contact, at the top right is a chain. Break the chain with a tap and pull the pic down with the arrow beside it. Choose none.
