Re: Auto brightness issue?
I just keep mine off until a fix. It is really quirky. The battery on the hero is good enough to not worry about it

I had the same sort of app on my mogul that had like 3 levels of brightness and had it assigned to a button. Hopefully I can find something like that as a temporary fix. |

Re: Auto brightness issue?
So this might sound stupid but I was noticing the same issue and I realized at least some of the time it was because my hand was over the sensor. It is very sensitive and reacts quickly so make sure the little sensor above the sprint logo that looks like a light is not covered.
There still maybe some software issues contributing to the issue aswell but just wanted to point that out. |

Hopefully they'll fix that soon as it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue. |

Re: Auto brightness issue?
Mine doesn't really go into sleep or freeze but another thing I did notice is when switching from portrait to landscape by moving the phone around the brightness will go low for a second and get bright again once it switches to landscape.
