Re: Rooting Replacement Phone Problems
I made the mistake of install the ota 2.27.651.6 release. Slowed my phone way down and over all just made me hate the phone. I'm trying to remember, but I'm 99% sure I ran into this problem when I tried to go back. While it was stuck in the boot loader I relaunched the update release and it finished it's deal.. Don't know how or why, but try that and see if it helps

Re: Rooting Replacement Phone Problems
I took a phone that was updated to the .6 and through the original 2.1 installer from Sprint took it back to the .5 version and then I rooted. Worked like a charm.

Re: Rooting Replacement Phone Problems
No, neither of the two suggestions above worked for me. What did work was to power off phone, turn it back one while holding the Up Volume key (with the USB cable plugged up). Doing so will bring up the Bootloader. Using the volume key to change the option from "USB" to "Fast USB" - then starting the .5 install on the computer got it to work.
