Re: Root Status to Official 2.1 Update from Sprint
I never had audio problems on the actual phone. My problem was with how the hero is finicky with different stereo bluetooth headsets. My Altec Lansings will break up all the time but the Jabra Halo's work great. I think that problem is in the hardware not the Roms. So yeah you coming from fresh 1.1, there's been huge improvements since then and I don't think you'll be disappointed

Re: Root Status to Official 2.1 Update from Sprint
If you are going to download the official 2.1 Sprint rom, don't get the one ending in .6 (the current download from the Sprint/HTC site). That closed up the root exploit. Get the one ending in .5. Links to the .5 2.1 update can be found on XDA.
I think you can run the .5 ruu even after you have run the .6 ruu, but I'm not sure.

Yes, you can run the .5 RUU if you already ran the .6 RUU. We did that on my friend's hero and it reverted to .5 with no problems.
That was an interesting night. My laptop rooted 3 heros that night, and had to redo 1 twice because my friend thought he was smarter tham the guys at xda. He learned his lesson. LOL Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
