Re: Official 2.1 is here!

Just a couple quick questions post update. Sprite Backup restored everything, but the contacts show up every in the phone except in the actual contact list in people, ans I cant get them to show up. Also, the haptic feedback won't turn off. Even after unchecking the haptic feedback in settings it still vibrates. Any solution to these would be helpful since its my wife's phone and I don't wanna get the stink eye for the next month.

Re: Official 2.1 is here!

So heres my question ,what about the people who have heros on cricket or metro?..I'm on cricket ,so would I even be able to do this? Or would I lose my cricket settings after the update ,and if I do would I be able to convert the phone back to cricket using the same antcut/apn. process??........

Re: Official 2.1 is here!

I keep seeing people say "You'll never be able to root again," doesn't that go counter to what the development community as a whole does? I understand that people are moving from the Hero to the Evo and so forth, but there is still a matter of pride at stake here. I don't think the hard working people over at XDA do all of their work for cash, since there is no payout required. I think a large part of the motivation is to crack what has been up to this point deemed impossible. Based on that I have apprehension about going to the 2.1 official but I have faith that even after Evo is released someone will crack the Hero 2.1 nut. Just my $.02

No, we are saying you can't be root if you do that. Meaning that you can't be rooted again right now. It will probably happen. Just not right now.
