I assume you're refering to tethering in which case I recommend

Wired: PdaNet
Awesome program and speed, and cool text messaging forwarder where you can text from your PC while tethered.

i cant get it to work it gives me a error 711. however it says its connected but i cant connect

the phone says error 711 or the computer. Did you install the drivers for the phone first?? (windows by default has stupid drivers for it)

the computer says it... it says "failed to create dial up entry some system services maybe turned off on your computer error 711"

Did you install PDAnet to your computer as well? You need to have PDAnet downloaded and installed on your computer as well as your htc hero
