wait for the evo or nexus one?

how about root the sucker, throw on fresh 2.1 with apps2sd to free up internal storage. install autokiller and set to extreme to free up as much ram as you can. seriously man, you have to root to get the most out of the phone.
is the apps2sd in the rom or is that something else ya gotta do?

Re: What is easiest way to speed up the Hero?

Just letting you guys know: The only time you have to worry about having a custom ROM or root status on your phone is when Sprint replaces your device and you have to mail it back to the Sprint warehouse. If you go into a service and repair center, then you CAN play it safe by putting the stock ROM back on, but removing root? NOBODY in that store is going to know how and where to check, nor will they care.

you need to use the new apps2sd for maximum performance. search the fresh 2.0d thread for apps2sd for the new download to flash.
