help enabling street view in google navigation

I saw in the demo of google navigation that whenever to you come to a turn that it will automatically switch to street view so you get an actual view of where to turn. Now, I'm trying it out. It does zoom in closer when you're approaching a turn, but it doesn't go to street view. Does anyone know how to turn this on? Or can it only be done manually?

Re: help enabling street view in google navigation

Maybe the streets you're going through don't have street view pictures taken there. Are you talking side streets around your house or main streets?

And somewhat on topic, is there a way to have G.Nav. automatically reroute when you go off course??

Re: help enabling street view in google navigation

They're main roads. I did figure out that if you go out of the navigation and into the directions list and tap on each individual turn that it'll show you the street view. That's the manual way of doing it.

It's hard because you can't test this stuff out when you're sitting at home. It's also hard to figure it out when it's on and you're trying to drive.

Mine does it automatically, same with rerouting. U can force reroute by pressing the screen and pressing the icon with the dotted line if alternate is available.

Hmm my never seemed to reroute, unless I didn't give it enough time but I'll take note of the manual method. I went off route trying to get somewhere and then panic'd and whipped out my Tom Tom lol

Thanks awarded though!, I didn't know it had the feature and from now on will trust it a little better!

Ya guess it wouldn't hurt to update mine to "d", I'm just too lazy about the backing up and restoring
