Music Player...... swipe to change tracks?

If I'm understanding correctly when using the stock music player, you can swipe left or right on the screen to change tracks? I tried this and it does nothing, swiping up or down same thing.

I just tested it and yes when you swipe left and right it does change, but only certain situations.
If your screen looks like this (with multiple songs from different albums, like a playlist) then when you swipe left or right it will skip to the next album, not the next song.

BUT if you are playing a single album (or playlist with songs from one album) then when you swipe left or right nothing will happen.

Got it, I was listening to an album and wondering why it wasn't working. Thanks for explaining. I'll have to make up a playlist to get that to work.
