!SOLVED! google voice not working properly on 2.1 or 2.0.1

Am i the only one that can't get outgoing calls working?
When I set Google voice to all out going calls, it trys but the little popup I heart gv message doesn't pop up...

I have also posted at xda, but no one responds...

SOLVED...MATT17 Posted this cab below but here it is for easier access. this is just the older version of Google Voice, so uninstall the new version then download this one and install it.

I've had issues calling with 2.1 but not sure if its related to google voice or not. The dialer seems to freeze or hang. I can however make calls with GV though eventually..

just a thought... you might get an answer if you all post in the thread of whatever rom it is that your using

this is the upgrade forum... not the, google voice isn't working on the rom im using forum

I had the same problem until I went into my Google voice settings via home computer... for some reason a + sign was in front of my ten digit phone number.. I removed the + sign and I was back in business again!

No worries I feel no heat! But I posted in both threads on xda and no one responded.
I'll try the + sign trick. I also flashed back to stock and im going to root again and see what happens.

What do you mean you went to Google Voice Settings through the home computer. When you say your ten digit phone number, do you mean your cell phones real # or the google voice #?

EDIT: I think I found where you were talking about... In the phones real #, mine had +1 in front of it. So I removed that, and had to re-verify it. Still had no luck. :-\

Google voice 3.0...... I had Sprint give me a free year of Sprint to home... the number that shows up when I use Google voice, not my gv number, is what I use as my Sprint to home#

Just an update, i have re-flashed to stock and re-rooted, and no dice! my calls still show up at if calling from my ACTUAL Cell # not my Google Voice number...GRRR! i then got a replacement phone and now rooted the replacement and flashed to the new FRESH 2.1 ROM i installed Google Voice and AGAIN the outgoing calls do not work with Google Voice.
the Little "i heart GV" guy that normally appears at the bottom, DOESN'T appear when i make the calls, my phone just seems to lag for a second like it's trying to find the app but then just makes the call with my cell #.

this is very frustrating since i rely so hevily on Google Voice, i can't play with any 2.1 ROMS... PLEASE HELP!

p.s. i also tried removing the +1 or just the + and it doesn't change anything for me.

try installing the .2 version of google voice.. the updated one is giving everyone trouble on the hero
