Re: dust under the lcd?....my story!
it's cool, by friday ill have a new phone. i just hope this one doesn't have the defect? apparently this is a really widely known issue on the sprint and htc forums. why the hell weren't these phones recalled by sprint?

Re: dust under the lcd?....my story!
no dust here.. although it seems to be sticking to the underside of my invisible shield that covers the gap between the screen and the button pad.

Re: dust under the lcd?....my story!
hey i work at a sprint service center. and as far as i know this is not like an issue sprint is going to remanufacture a whole set of phoens and start replacing them not with the HTC Hero2(Lendgend) on the way. granted if you get a nice rep they will replace the device.
i myself have had this phone since december and not had this issue until just monday. but it seems like an easy fix. take the phone apart and wipe the screen. but it doesn bug me as i cant see it unless the screen is off and until it gets really bad i dont think im going to do this unless i do it as a tutorial for others to do.

Re: dust under the lcd?....my story!
i had the problem, at first it didn't bother me because i couldn't see the dust when the screen was on but it really started to build up so i took it in to see what they'd do and they just replaced it.
now as for a fix they probably won't bother fixing existing units, they would probably phase them out with refurbs that have been given the fix then they'll take your unit, apply the fix, then give it to someone else as a refurb
