Speaker kinda sounds like its blown o.O

Any ideas? All I did was use the speaker phone on max in call volume for a few seconds. I don't think it was playing anything loud either, it was just someones voicemail that I wanted someone else to hear. Think it's actually blown? Think Sprint will let me get a replacement if I pay the $50 fee? (I pay extra monthly for insurance or something)

It's $100 now, used to be $50. Take it to a repair center & have them look at it.

i had my speaker messed up, it sounded like something was lose (not on speaker though, just the regular ear speaker) i though it was the screen protector over the speaker vibrating but it wasnt. i took it to a repair center and i got a new one =D by new i mean refurbished =/ no charge though cuz i pay $7 insurance a month and i think because it was within my 30 day activation of new phone.. hope this helps

If your speaker is blown, they won't make you go through any fees. It's not YOUR fault it blew.

Edit: gang, you were within your initial 30 days of buying the Hero and they gave you a refurb?!? You're supposed to get one NEW exchange within 30 days.

Well, I just noticed that my phone speaker is blown as well. Passed my 30 days and no insurance.

Does anyone think that HTC may have used a common speaker for the speakerphone? I have a Mogul and Diamond downstairs and I'm tempted to try and retrofit one of theirs.

The phone has a 1 year warranty for manufacturer defects so insurance or not they will fix it or replace it.
