Java not found when running kitchen

So, I downloaded Fresh Pre-Kitchen 0.2 and ran a check on my phone. All came up with check marks except for the Java portion. So, I searched around here on the site and also xda, but didn't find a solution.

How do I get java (back?) on my Hero?

For the kitchen, it requires the Java RTE on the computer itself. The hero doesn't have java out of the box.

Re: Java not found when running kitchen

Alright, wicked. Is there a particular Java RTE I need off the Java site or...?

Is RTE supposed to mean "Runtime Environment", because I have heard of JRE, but never RTE?

Yeah it the jre. Whenever i say the whole word "java" though, i feel the need to abbreviate the rest.

Re: Java not found when running kitchen

Okay, which one do I download? Because I do know I have Java on my PC but obviously I need another one for pre-kitchen to use/recognize, right?

Are there more options than just the latest one?

Re: Java not found when running kitchen

This is what's listed:
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

I already have the latest installed for Win 7 64-bit. What other one would I need? Or, is the Pre-kitchen just not recognizing it properly?

Mayhaps it is a windows 7 issue. If you have access to an xp computer, i would give it a shot.

Re: Java not found when running kitchen

Hmm. No access to an XP computer. What if I were to set the classpath? Is it possible to direct Pre-kitchen to Java?
