Re: Java not found when running kitchen
When I do the diagnostics in kitchen, everything is checked off except for Java, which gets a red X beside it. I click on the question mark and it says:
"The kitchen was unable to locate your copy of java. This means that java is not included in your classpath. Instructions will be included in the future on how to fix that. Everything in the kitchen will work for you other than signing a file." I remember reading around here and seeing the mention of signing a file (altho I have no clue what that really means) for a certain task. Last edited by Volknochi; 02-25-2010 at 02:31 PM. |

Re: Java not found when running kitchen
So if you are concerned about java, that is only technically required for something that you dont even know what it is or plan on using it, why dont you try using the kitchen for what you want to use it for. If what you try doesnt work, then we can blame the Java and try again. Like I said, I dont think there is anything in the kitchen that you will be using that you should worry about this.

Re: Java not found when running kitchen
Seeing as I am new to this, I was not aware if it needed to be recognized or not. No one else posted to say that I did not need to worry about it. Until now.

Yeah man. I just thought you were trying to do something and the kitchen wasnt working. It should work for everything you are wanting to do.

Re: Java not found when running kitchen
Much thanks, kbussen, much thanks. Kitchen works smoothly for what I'm wanting, just glad to have cleared up the Java issue.

Re: Java not found when running kitchen
Sorry, i was assuming you were in the middle of doing something in the kitchen and the lack of java killed it. Good looking out, kbussen.
