Spare Parts Fresh 1.1 need help

Hi everyone,im fairly new round here but have been in the windows mobile scene for a while but switched to android and it a tiny learning curve for me.Ive tried everyting except reflash the rom in this case.Heres the problem,Everything went smooth rooting and flashing fresh rom once i realized everything i needed was stable i then proceeded to install all my apps but now when i go into the spare parts settings I get a Crash,sometimes it will let me in but if i choose any option it FC on me.

Also Wifi tethering isn't working for me too,it also FC on me every time.I am already reading the other thread about fixing it so no need for input here on that.I just want to see if theres anything i can do before reflashing.

If you adb into your phone, you can delete the spare parts apk and re-install ot from the market.

in dos:

cd [androidsdk/tools--wherever you hide that]
adb shell
mount -o,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/system/block/mtdblock3 /system
cd /system/app
ls

At this point, you find out what the spare parts apk is. I am at work at the moment and cant find out, but once you find it you will then....

rm [sparepartsfilename].apk
exit
exit

Then go to the market and search for "Spare parts"

Also, the fix for wifi tether is to download the lasted version (called pre2, i believe). That solved all my issues.

Or you could always try the good ole Hard Reset!...lol

Did what bradart said and its working again...Little tricky for me this DOS stuff..But i got it none the less...Now to the wifi tethering...Thank You BraDart

OR you can go to menu- setttings- applications - manage applications and find spare parts, touch it and then uninstall.

no on fresh its in /system/app and requires su permissions to access. the app manager can't sudo.

Droid Explorer works excellent. IT allows you to do so much its like a Kitchen as well http://de.codeplex.com/ I use it its fast allows me to dig around the HEro
