Guys is there not a way to hard reset the thing to remove all the google account info? If I remember corectly the option to choose what group to sync was during the initial setup

Dude, I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying I don't have that option. Am I in the wrong place?... Screenshot of where I think you're saying the option should be.

I even read on another forum where someone mentioned that you may have to enable syncing of contacts for that option to be available. I did try that.

It is a phone. Not a magical electronic instrument that you rub, a genie pops out, and asks you what you want.

There have been several recommendations made that solve your issue. Just about everyone has, in one way or another exported their contacts into google, why must you be so difficult? I can tell from the way you present yourself on this thread, your starting to care less about actually learning and trying, and more about being harsh and difficult. With that said I give you an award:
