Dolphin Browser 2

I tried the first couple versions of Dolphin and wasn't really feeling it, mainly because the UI was a little odd to me. But Dolphin 2 cleaned up the UI a bit.

To be honest this is my favorite part of Dolphin, being able to keep the notification bar. If the stock browser could do this I wouldn't be writing this.

My second favorite feature is the grouping of the Google Services.

** New Menu 2.5 ** Old one here if you want to see the progress.

Tabs look a bit better but they are still ginormous. But you can auto hide them.

Tabs 2.5 New and cleaner looking. 2.0 tabs screen shot here

Unfortunately they did include adverts in this version. But only in the Dolphin home page. You can pay to remove them, just not quite sure that I'm ready to... My location doesn't seem to show up in Google, this a small bummer and I really don't use all the social stuff they have included. I wish someone would mod the original Android browser with the some of the small UI tweaks Dolphin has implemented and it would be a world of difference.

Anyway I will stop babbling :P

Re: Dolphin Browser 2

Man I really want that notification bar visible while browsing I thought I was the only one bothered by that. Don't know if I wanna leave the stock browser tho. Hmm guess I'll give dolphin another shot, thanks for the info

Yeah tried the old dolphin out and it was just too ugly. I'm digging v2 so far especially now I can access my notification bar. Thanks.

Re: Dolphin Browser 2

I just downloaded and tried it out. It's alot faster than it use to be. Google use to drag once it started loading. It's pretty peppy now..

Re: Dolphin Browser 2

To the tuna net with Dolphin! The major downfall of Dolphin is that it never really becomes your %100 stock browser. Using the find button from your home screen launches the stock browser with the search results then when you click one it launches Dolphin. So now you have two browsers running I love still having the notification bar while browsing but it's not worth losing a hardware button. I'll contact the Dev see what they say

I updated the first post with the new screen shots. I also linked the old ones to see the progress. Weird it looks like Google got a face life yesterday.

Re: Dolphin Browser 2

The upgrade to 2.5 made this very attractive to me now. so far after a few minutes im really excited about using this as my default browser. I just need to get the bookmark sync to sync with my chrome bookmarks and this one steals the cake hands down for now!
