having problems flashing from fresh

Im already running fresh 1.1 and im wanting to try the beta 2.0 but am having problems getting there. do i have to do a recovery first? from what i have read is that i have to go thru the same process I did when i flashed to fresh. so when i try to run recovery using pre kitchens auto rooter, phone goes black. power button doesnt work and i have to pull battery. and when i try same process i did the first time to root it i get no where. i use the recovery flasher then do a reboot to hboot, push home and it restarts to the HTC screen where it remains for ever. can i get a step by step of how id flash from already being flashed? something im not getting here....

You dont use the kitchen to flash. Just download the rom, mount your SD card, transfer the rom .zip to the root of your SD(meaning, dont put it in any folder), unplug your phone, turn it off, boot into recovery(hold the home key+your power button), then select the rom .zip and flash(if you need help at this part, pm me).

Re: having problems flashing from fresh

I pm'd you back. It sounds to me like you dont have a recovery image on your phone. And you flashed fresh once before? Did you flash back to stock using the RUU?
