Issue with Wallpaper

So last night I was playing around with my phone. I have GDE installed, and I was playing with some backgrounds, changing them around when something odd happened.

I went to set a background, in Landscape mode, and when I went back to my Home Screen, it was all off center, and messed up. No where near where it was supposed to be. So I go to place a new one instead. Now, instead of it taking up the whole background, it only wants to take up the size that a Lockscreen would. So when I am switching between my screens, my background now stays stationary instead of panning with the rest of my screens.

I can't seem to get it to go back to normal. Any ideas?

I am relatively new to all of this. I've had the HTC Hero since October, and love it to death, but the only smartphone experience I've had before it has been the Blackberry. Haven't even gotten brave enough to root it yet.

have never heard of this before but you might want to root your phone because i think i kno how to fix it but the phone needs to be rooted.
