i got win7 to see my hero but still can't sync

Could be a driver issue. Go go your prog files x86\htc\htc driver\driver files and delete the current folder that's there. Add the vista_x64 folder that's attached below and update the drivers on the device

odd.. am I the only 1 that the 2.0.18 on cdma with W7 that got it to work... without issue? makes me wonder if my W7 is different now...

worked the first 2 times and now nothing i dont use outlook i use thunderbird

try deleting your phone drivers, disconnect phone, then disconnect/disable your internet, then plug your phone back in... when it asks to install drivers, browse to the Programs/HTC/drivers folder and select the appropriate driver for your version of W7.. if your finding that it still breaks after a few uses, my guess is its something to do with sync not being fully compatible with thunderbird... my $0.02 but its only worth 1/2 a penny compared to the rest of the talent here.
